Traffic areas in inner-city spaces are severely limited by numerous immovable objects. For example, streetcar lines are often limited in height by crossing bridges, culverts or simple cable ducts. As a result, the superstructure must be flatter than usual.

Likewise, old subway lines, whose tunnel cross-sections are very narrow, require low-height superstructures. For precisely these applications, RAILONE has developed a sleeper that is designed to be very flat, similar to a wooden sleeper, and at the same time meets all other requirements of road and subway traffic.
